Xilinx FPGA and CPLD JTAG Serial Programmer. Fully buffered.
Able to program Xilinx FPGA, CPLD or PROMs with 2.5V-5V ISP interfaces.
Works with Xilinx's IMPACT downloading software as a Parallel III cable.
The connector uses the same 2MM pinout as a Xilinx Parallel IV cable.
With Xilinx's predefined 2MM pinout, you will be sure that you will not
make a mistake connecting the cable to your target device.
Benchmarks using IMPACT on a PC running WindowsXP with an ECP Parallel Port, it took:
- 70 seconds to erase a Xilinx XCF16P PROM and then program it with an XC2VP20 FPGA image.
- 20 seconds to program a Xilinx XC2VP7 FPGA.
- 4 seconds to erase and program a Xilinx XC9536XL CPLD.
